Kramat Pela Urban Village Head, Atiaturrahman mentioned, this cleaning was carried out to optimize water flow on the river and prevent the river from overflowing that can cause inundation to the surrounding areas.

After cleaning, he hopes the area will look tidier and river can drain water properly when it rains.
"We also urge our residents for not littering the river," he asserted.
