December, Seven Drains Revitalization Project in Koja Completed

Seeing the condition, we rebuild them using u-ditch with box culvert precast cover

The North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has started revitalizing micro drains in seven locations across in Koja Sub-district. It is targeted to be complete in the forthcoming December.

According to Adrian Mara Maulana, Head of North Jakarta SDA Sub-agency, it was aimed of following up on the results of the 2018 Regional Development Planning Forums (Musrenbang). Considering most of the channel infrastructure had suffered quite severe damage.

"Seeing the condition, we rebuild them using u-ditch with box culvert precast cover. They will have a40-120 centimeters width," he expressed, Tuesday (11/3).

From seven drains, he explained, five were in Koja and Lagoa areas. They were located on Jalan Lorong Fort Timur (355 meters length), Jalan Lorong 100 (380 meters length), Jalan Lorong 101 (320 meters length), Jalan Lorong 102 (320 meters length) and Jalan Mawar (195 meters length).

While for the drain revitalization in Lagoa area was at Jalan Mengkulu Block L, RW 12 (262 meters length), Jalan B Raya, RW 04 (321 meters length).

"Hopefully we are able to overcome the overflow of water at the peak of the rainy season," he stated.
