10,100 Locations in East Jakarta Have Been Sprayed with Disinfectants

It is our way to contain the spread of COVID-19

The East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency has noted that around 10,100 locations in East Jakarta have been disinfected during March 14- December 9.

Gatot Sulaeman, Division Head of Gulkarmat expressed, it was done routinely every day amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

"It is our way to contain the spread of COVID-19," he said, Thursday (12/10).

He explained it was focused on streets, pedestrian bridges (JPO), places of worship, education facilities, parks, public facilities, residential areas, government/private offices, etc.

Of the 10,100 locations, 1,082 were in Matraman, 944 were in Pulogadung, 1,033 were in Jatinegara, 1,466 were in Duren Sawit, 1,237 were in Makasar, 763 were in Kramat Jati, 1,205 were in Ciracas, 912 were in Cipayung and 602 were in Pasar Rebo.

To spray disinfectant, the agency involved hundreds of firefighters, ancillary equipment and other spraying materials.
