940 Enjo Market Traders Occupy New Kiosks

After selling in temporary relocation place for four years, 940 Enjo Market traders can finally occupy the market which revitalization project has finished. This market is located at Pisangan Timur Urban Village, Pulogadung Sub-District, East Jakarta.

From 940 traders, there are still 80-100 traders have not paid 20 percent of kiosk rent cost in advance. We give date line until November 18

PD Pasar Jaya East Area 1 Manager, Yohanes Daramonsidi, said that before occupying the market and taking the keys of their kiosks, the traders must first pay 20 percent of kiosk rent cost in advance. In addition, they should also have no arrears to their responsibilities.

“From 940 traders, there are still 80-100 traders have not paid 20 percent of kiosk rent cost in advance. We give date line until November 18, in accordance to the circular letter given,” he stated, Thursday (10/30).

Meanwhile, Head of Enjo Market, Agus Darmanto, informed that the new market has two floors. On ground floor there are 566 kiosks/blocks and on first floor there are 374 kiosks. The kiosk price on first floor is Rp 48 million per kiosk, while on ground floor is Rp 52 million per kiosk. As for blocks, per block is priced Rp 18 million. The traders can pay in installment for three to five years.

“On November 18, all traders must occupy their kiosks because we will demolish and clean the temporary relocation place. For traders who have not paid the advance money, please pay it immediately,” he uttered.

Soleha (40), a vegetables trader, admitted that she is happy because she now can sell in Enjo Market again. According to her, the temporary relocation place is inadequate to sell.

Alhamdulillah (thank God), I can occupy the kiosk again because for four years selling in the temporary relocation place was cramped and unworthy. We hope that with new kiosks, there would be more visitors coming so we can sell comfortably,” she expressed.
