BPBD Supports Crashed Plane Rescue Team By Providing Logistic Aid

Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) supports logistic provision in the rescue and search of Sriwijaya Air Flight SJ-182 that has crashed in Thousand Islands waters.

We continue to coordinate directly with BNPB

Jakarta BPBD Acting Head (Plt), Sabdo Kurnianto mentioned, today his side deployed 20 personnel to JICT 2 Post, North Jakarta. His side provided 16 velbeds, 20 folding benches, 30 body bags, 1 multipurpose truck, 1 command vehicle, 30 boxes of mineral water, 5 boxes of food, 1 generator set, and 2 fluorescent lights.

"We have immediately sent those aid since Saturday night. Every day, we provide logistical assistance in form of 30 boxes of mineral water and 5 boxes of food for officers on duty," he conveyed, Monday (1/11).

Currently, his side also continues to coordinate with National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) to search for crashed plane victims.

"We continue to coordinate directly with BNPB regarding logistic and supporting equipment which are needed by officers on the field. We also assist them in evacuating victims and helping to remove aircraft debris from seabed," he explained.
