Arrangement of Area Under Pegangsaan Bridge Reaches 40 Percent

Progress of arrangement work under railway bridge in Pegangsaan, Central Jakarta, has touched 40 percent.

Central Jakarta Acting Mayor, Irwandi stated, related agencies accelerated the arrangement work under Pegangsaan Bridge.

"We will return the function under this bridge to be a crossing for pedestrians and build a park in here," he mentioned when visiting the location on Tuesday (1/12).

West Jakarta PRKP Completes Arrangement in Four Urban Villages

Arrangement work under Pegangsaan Bridge includes transforming the channel into fish pond, making a park, and decorating the wall with murals.

"Residents can enjoy the result since it will be transformed into recreation area, thus it will not be used as place for homeless anymore," he conveyed.

Risky Setiahadi, staff of Central Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Sub-agency's Green Line Section stated, 4 teams or 28 personnel were deployed to build fences and park under Pegangsaan Bridge.

"We will build fences on the right and left sides about 70 meters in total. Some parts of the land will be used to build park and fish pond which targeted to finish next week," he informed.
