As for the total number of confirmed cases in Jakarta today was 229,726 cases. Of these cases, 204,711 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 89.1% and 3,815 people died with a death rate of 1.7%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.9%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 17.9%, while Indonesia was 9.6%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.
The city government had provided isolation and ICU beds in handling COVID-19. Based on the latest data on January 10, there was an increase in the capacity of isolation beds and ICU beds in 101 referral hospitals. As for isolation beds of 7,548, the percentage of occupancy was 86% with a total of 6,501 isolated patients, while for ICU beds of 995, the percentage was 80% with a total of 849 ICU patients.
Amid PSBB, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. In this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta.
