Reported by Yudha Peta Ogara | Translated by Nugroho Adibrata
The Jakarta administration has provided quality and integrated Health Insurance. In collaboration with BPJS Kesehatan, they are holding free health insurance beyond JKN benefits.
Until today it has reached UHC of 97.7%
It is realized with cross-sectoral cooperation, including the Health Agency, Population and Civil Registration Agency, as well as Communication, Informatics and Statistics Agency, Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control Agency, Social Agency, Transportation Agency, UTD Indonesian Red Cross, Emergency Ambulance, urban village offices and all hospitals in Jakarta.
Jakarta Health Agency Head Widyastuti conveyed the purpose of providing Health Insurance for residents. This program is given to further improve the welfare of the community through health insurance. Until today it has reached UHC of 97.7%, which means the majority of the population of Jakarta has participated in the JKN program," she explained, as quoted by Jakara PPID's press release, Monday (1/25).
JKN Participation in Jakarta Has Touched 98.19 PercentThere are four types of benefits outside JKN managed by the Jakarta Health Insurance Unit, Health Agency and can be obtained by the public for free:
1. Emergency Ambulance Service Guarantee (AGD)
The administration provides guarantees for ambulance financing through the Health Agency's AGD for residents who have ID cards and family cards. This guarantee is addressed to residents who require ambulance in an emergency, decreased consciousness and unable to move limbs (paralysis/fracture). The emergency number for this service can call 112/119
2. Health Check Guarantee
Applies to religious leaders, JakLingko drivers, and PBI BDT (Integrated Database) participants. Medical check-up that is guaranteed include physical check-up, chest X-rays, laboratory tests (complete blood and complete urine), electrocardiography (heart records), and hepatitis B screening (pregnant participants). Registration is done in urban villages or Transportation Agency for Jaklingko drivers for check-up in all RSUDs with the conditions for ID cards and family cards, as well as JKN/KIS participants
3. Free Blood Guarantee from HIV and Hepatitis (Blood management using the Nucleic Acid Tes-NAT method, provided by PMI)
Blood Management with NAT is useful for filtering Hepatitis and HIV viruses in the blood that will be donated to patients. Thus the administration guarantees that the blood used by residents in health facilities is safe from the infection and the virus. The NAT check-up applies to all health facilities, for residents who have ID card and family card, who need blood according to medical indications
4. Guaranteed services for victims of violence, including violence against women and children
Even the administration was committed to providing security to the community, especially women and children. For residents in and outside Jakarta who experience violence in Jakarta, who need health services provided in the emergency room, outpatient/inpatient at the hospital. This is evidenced by a police statement/report that the patient is a victim of violence. Especially for victims of violence against women and children, they also receive guarantees for clinical forensic check-up, forensic pathology, labs, forensics, visum et repertum at government health facilities. So hopefully they would not be afraid to report the perpetrators, thus the perpetrators could be punished.
