Green Belts in Jakarta Being Beautified

Jakarta Parks and Urban Forestry Agency beautifies a number of strategic locations that are usually the main route for state guests.

These green belts will be a path that has a specificity in terms of landscape with the selection of types of flowering plants

The locations in question are HI Roundabout, BI Roundabout, Pemuda Statue Fountain, Semanggi Park, Halim Perdanakusuma area, Jalan MT Haryono, and Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto.

Jakarta Parks and Urban Forest's Data and Information Center Head Ivan Nurchayo said, a variety of flowering plants were planted to beautify the numerous green belt locations.

"These green belts will be a path that has a specificity in terms of landscape with the selection of types of flowering plants," he expressed, Friday (2/5).

He explained, the types of plants that planted on the green belt in Central Jakarta area were philo kuning, sambang darah, and hanjuang kribo. As for the green belt in East Jakarta was planted with red gandarusa, jasmine gambier, rowelia, red spinach and daffodils will be planted.

"We also plant shrubs and trees in the Halim Perdana Kusuma green belt area and conduct arrangements on Jalan MT Haryono and Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto. For decoration we use orchids, bali bananas, and kadaka," he stated.
