Waste and Mud Left by Floods in Cililitan Being Cleaned

It is conducted in RW 05, 06, 07, 15 and 16, precisely on neighborhood streets and in residential areas

Some 55 joint personnel consisting of 30 PPSU members, 10 Environment Agency members, and 15 Water Resources (SDA) members start to clean up waste and mud left by floods that inundated residential areas in Cililitan Urban Village, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.  

"It is conducted in RW 05, 06, 07, 15 and 16, precisely on neighborhood streets and in residential areas," disclosed Cililitan Urban Village Head, Agung Budi Santoso, Tuesday (2/9).

Floods in Pejaten Timur Have Begun to Recede

He explained it was carried out manually. The remaining mud from flooding in the neighborhood's road was about five centimeters thick.

"Until 12 PM, 22 refugees are still staying at Cililitan RPTRA and 22 others are at STBA Pertiwi," he explained.

As for 68 people took refuge at SDN Cililitan 03 and 42 people in resident homes of RW 16.

He detailed floods in RW 05 had receded at 12 PM and RW 06, precisely in RT 03 and 04 was still inundated as high as 50-60 centimeters.

Similar condition was also spotted in RW 07, RT 06, 09, 15 and 16 with water level to 40-70 centimeters height. Then RT 02 and 03 were inundated to 10-20 centimeters height.

"RW 15 and 16 have generally receded," he closed.
