Fish Seeds Aid Distributed to Eight Fish Cultivator Groups in Thousand Islands

A total of eight fish cultivator groups (Pokdakan) in Thousand Islands have received fish seed aid from the Center for Marine Cultivation and Conservation (PBKL) under Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency.

Each receives 1,000 seeds of white snapper fry and 250 seeds of cantang groupers, measuring about 10 cm

Thousand Islands KPKP Sub-agency Head Devi Lidya said those eight groups were namely Tidung Mandiri Pokdakan, Mina Taruna Muda Pokdakan, Pasir Putih Pokdakan, Usaha Baru Mandiri Pokdakan, Pari Indah Pokdakan, Pelangi Pokdakan, Paus Biru Pokdakan, dan Kelompok Mandiri Pokdakan.

"Each receives 1,000 seeds of white snapper fry and 250 seeds of cantang groupers, measuring about 10 cm," he expressed, Tuesday (2/16).

700,000 Fish Seeds will Be Spread in 12 Public Lakes

According to him, the aid was to follow up requests from the Thousand Grouper Cultivation Forum and the distribution itself was done through the KPKP Sub-agency.

"This is a stimulant for farmers with the hope of increasing production and income during the COVID-19 pandemic," he stated.
