Culture Agency - Trisakti Cooperates to Develop Culture Dissemination and Preservation Services

Jakarta Culture Agency, signed a cooperation agreement with the Trisakti University of Media Communications (STMK) for Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (three pillars of high education) program, on Wednesday (2/17).

The cooperation itself aims to develop Jakarta Culture Dissemination and Preservation Services

Tridharma is a program comprising education and learning, research and development, community service, and internships for lecturers and students of Trisakti STMK.

Culture Agency Head Iwan Henry Wardhana revealed this cooperation would involve individuals or groups in the process of economic activity based on arts and culture and local wisdom in Jakarta.

"The cooperation itself aims to develop Jakarta Culture Dissemination and Preservation Services as a follow-up to an agreement to strengthen collaboration between the parties in implementing government programs and the Tridharma program, as well as increasing public awareness of cultural preservation in Jakarta," he expressed, in the inauguration ceremony for the building renovation and the signing of the cooperation at Trisakti STMK in Jakarta, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Further, they would hold activities about research on objects of regional cultural advancement, apprenticeship activities, program initiatives, as well as entrepreneurship workshops for Jakpreneurs with materials such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Videography, Digital Imaging, Digital Marketing, Packaging, Branding.

He explained the scope of this cooperation included community service and research to develop Betawi arts and culture, technology and information development in a bid to expand socialization, increase the capacity of cultural economy actors, and open internships and Professional Work Practices for Students. The targets were cultural economic actors, students, and Trisakti STMK Academic Community.

"Hopefully it may advance regional culture, especially Betawi culture, by harmonizing with existing technological developments," he hoped.

In future, the agency was about to explore cooperation with several educational institutions in the context of collaboration to develop services, promote culture, and preserve culture in Jakarta.
