250 Personnel Deployed for Post-Flood Cleaning in Cipinang Melayu

Total 250 joint personnel deployed to clean up mud and waste after flood in Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar, East Jakarta, on Monday (2/22).

We are targeting it to complete this cleaning by the end of this week

Makasar Sub-district Head, Kamal Alatas mentioned, 250 joint personnel were deployed from Satpol PP, Gulkarmat Sub-agency, BPBD Jakarta, Environment Sub-agency, Water Body Unit, Water Resources Task Force, Bina Marga Task Force, Social Task Force, PPSU, and health centers in urban village and sub-district.

Waste Left by Flooding in Duren Tiga Being Cleaned

Joint personnel were focus in post-flood cleaning at RW 03 and 04 which located on Sunter Riverbank. When flood occurred on Saturday (2/20), these two settlements were flooded for more than 2 meters.

"We clean all the remaining mud and waste after flood," he conveyed, Monday (2/22).

For post-flood handling, his side deployed 32 pumps which consisted of 1 large pump, 4 standard pumps, 2 floating pumps, and 15 quick response mobile pumps.

Moreover, there were also supporting facilities such as dump truck from SDA Sub-agency, 5 large and 3 small garbage trucks, 2 pick-up trucks, 1 shovel-type heavy equipment, 6 motor carts, and 4 Satpol PP patrol cars. 

Not only cleaning mud and waste, his side also carbolized the environment to disinfect areas after flood.

"Because the affected area is quite large and the mud is thick, it takes time to clean all the mud. We are targeting it to complete this cleaning by the end of this week," he said.
