Kramat Jati Prioritizes Water Channel Development in Musrenbang Meeting

It aims to dealt with flooding in our village and is expected to be realized soon

The water channel development work has become a priority scale in the regional development planning forums (musrenbang) for Kramat Jati Sub-district, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/23). The meeting led by East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar has discussed 637 proposals worth Rp 129.4 billion.

According to him, those 637 proposals consisted of 416 physical proposals, 58 non-physical proposals and 162 goods procurement. With this composition, he suggested that physical proposals be balanced with non-physical ones, with a minimum ratio of 60: 40 percent.

He explained non-physical proposal was filed in the form of job training activities as it was very much needed by the community amid the pandemic.

"We ask for non-physical proposals, especially job training. Thus people have skills so it can be used for entrepreneurship or creating their own jobs," he explained.

Of the total existing proposals, 69 percent would be realized this year. It was still dominated by activities related to natural resources related to flood management. He wanted related units to commit to doing maximally what the residents suggested.

"When the work is in progress, residents must participate in monitoring. Do not let the work have not been completed, the contractor has left it. Surely it will also harm the residents," he explained.

Kramat Jati Sub-district Head, Jati Eka Darmawan added the priority proposal in the musrenbang was the construction of a 200-meter long water channel on Jalan Batu Kinyang III, Batu Ampar. It was important, as floods as high as 30 centimeters often hit his village during rainy season.

Another priority proposal was to repair the sheet pile along Baru River for a length of 865 meters. It started from Tengah Urban Village to Batu Ampar and Cililitan Urban Village, RW 05 and 15 with 90 meters length. Its sheet pile was currently damaged and some collapsed.

"It aims to dealt with flooding in our village and is expected to be realized soon," he uttered.

He added the 637 proposals were related to the Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency (207 proposals), Bina Marga Sub-agency (207 proposals), Transportation Sub-agency (28 proposals), PPKD (22 proposals) and Youth and Sports Sub-agency (17 proposals).
