BUMD-BUMN Collaborate to Maintain Food Supply and Price Stability

PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (FSTJ) as Jakarta Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) collaborated with PT. Sang Hyang Seri, a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) to maintain food supply and food prices stability.

Potential of rice production to reach 3,100 tons

This collaboration was realized by signing Cooperation Agreement between PT. FSTJ President Director, Pamrihadi Wiraryo and PT. Sang Hyang Seri (SHS) President Director, Karyawan Gunarso at PT. Sang Hyang Seri Office in Pamanukan, West Java, on February 24, 2021.

Board directors from both parties also witnessed the signing, such as PT. RNI (Persero) President Director, Arief Prasetyo Adi; farmer partners from PT. SHS and entire board directors of RNI, as well as Bank Indonesia representatives.

Food Station Launches FS Bottled Drinking Water

PT. FSTJ President Director, Pamrihadi Wiraryo stated, cooperation was implemented in farming farm on 1,000 hectares area to support food security of Jakarta residents.

"Through this cooperation, we expect it to produce 6,000 tons of dry grain," he said, Thursday (2/25).

His side built collaboration with PT. SHS because this food cluster BUMN had advantages in form of large expanse of rice fields and excellent irrigation channels. Thus it is hoped to produce high quality grains with high profits.

"We upgrade our cooperation into contract farming in 1,000 hectares land. Hopefully this land can produce about six tons of GKP/GKG grains with potential of rice production to reach 3,100 tons," he informed.

PT. FSTJ will also explore cooperation with PT. SHS' coached farmers in providing raw materials. Furthermore, there is also potential for cooperation in supplying milled dry grains.

"In short, this cooperation ensures certainty of stock and guaranteed prices for Food Station thus inflation in Jakarta can be controlled,"

Previously, PT. FSTJ had built cooperation for unhulled rice procurement in November-December 2020. At that time, PT. FSTJ placed an order for 3,677 tons of GKP with type IR64/Ciherang from more than 600 hectares land in Subang, West Java.

Early this year, cooperation between PT. FSTJ and PT. SHS was upgraded into contract farming. From total 3,200 hectares land owned by PT. SHS, total area which signed for cooperation with PT. FSTJ reaches 1,000 hectares.
