West Jakarta Holds Virtual Library Tour for Two Days

The West Jakarta Library and Archives (Pusip) Sub-agency holds virtual literacy tours in order to celebrate World Fairytale Day, which is celebrated every March 20.
Similar activity will be held twice, precisely on March 15 and 18
Ahmad Yani, Head of West Jakarta Pusip Sub-agency said the tour activity participated by 420 students was filled with virtual library tours and virtual storytelling, which took place from 8:30 AM - 10:50 AM.
"It starts from the first floor where there is a children's room and a literacy stage to showcase children's talents in reading poetry or storytelling. There is also a lactation room, edugames and 500 braille books," he expressed, Monday (3/15).

"While on the third floor, the participants were introduced to a special room for film making and screening as well as processing library materials. The term of
the third floor is the 'kitchen' of our library," he said.West Jakarta Pusip Sub-agency for Library Division Head Siti Sarah added, at the end of the activity, her party also played a variety of exciting games with attractive prizes, which aimed to increase interest in reading among children, especially amid the pandemic.
She continued it would pass through evaluation stage by asking for recommendations from teachers and students.
"This is for our future evaluation material. Similar activity will be held twice, precisely on March 15 and 18," she said.
