Food Station Strengthens Cooperation By Providing Rice for Satpol PPSupply Chain Division for FSTJ Head Endang Sundhara explained stock-taking is an activity of counting the physical inventory in the warehouse. It was done to find out about the accuracy of the company's bookkeeping records.
"This is an important activity to do as it is a function of internal control. It doesn't only used to calculate inventory, but can also be used to count goods or objects related to the company's operational activities," he explained.
He went on to say that periodic stock-taking was able to prevent the company from losing money due to negligence in calculations and also to help the company to find out the actual amount, regulate the movement of goods from and out of the company, as well as internal control.
"By so, it will be known the circumstances that occur between the bookkeeping records and the existing physical inventory," he furthered.
As for the information, the PT FSTJ had also carried out stock-taking at the Cipinang Rice Main Market (PIBC). It aimed at ensuring and securing rice stocks at PIBC.
It is executed by shop and warehousing staff who would re-record the stocks held by traders stored in their stores and warehouses.
