SMPN 255 Duren Sawit Simulasi KBM Hybrid

SMPN 255 Duren Sawit Holds Hybrid KBM Simulation

SMPN 255 Duren Sawit, East Jakarta held hybrid teaching and learning activities (KBM) simulation. It is a learning method that combines pure distance learning with physical face-to-face methods.

After this simulation, we hold internal meeting to determine the next step

In this simulation which initiated by school committee, 'students' which played by parents or school committee members participate in KBM in classroom while some other students participate using Zoom application. Amid of pandemic, 'students' who attended the class were limited to only five people.

SMPN 255 School Committee Chairperson, Aulia Prima Kurniawan expected this simulation to be an idea or method that can be implemented and improved by both SMPN 255 and other schools in Jakarta. According to him, it was initiated as a form of parent's concern for education.

"During the pandemic, parents must be worried if their children join direct KBM. That's why we are doing hybrid KBM trial at school," he said.

He expected hybrid KBM can be a solution in improving student learning quality during COVID-19 pandemic.

SMPN 255 Headmaster, Kwatrin Askarini mentioned, her side will discuss it with all teachers and parents. If everything has been agreed and approved it, then this hybrid KBM activity can be applied in schools.

"After this simulation, we hold internal meeting to determine the next step. Because we need parents to be active to correct any shortage," she added.

If there is no obstacles, she assessed, this hybrid KBM will be implemented in two weeks. Hybrid KBM will be applied to students in grades 1 and 2. Because grade 3 will take school exam next week. Total students at SMPN 255 is 88 students who will be divided into 24 study groups.
