Jakarta Government through Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Agency issued number of provisions related to restaurants operation during Ramadan 1442 Hijri.

It was mentioned in Decree (SK) of Jakarta Parekraf Agency Head No. 313/2021 concerning Amendments to Parekraf Agency Head Decree No. 281/2021 on Extension of Micro-scale Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM Mikro) in Tourism Business Sector.
Jakarta Parekraf Agency Head, Gumilar Ekalaya stated, based on this regulation, restaurants or cafes are allowed to open for dine-in until 22:30 and return to operate at 02:00-04:30 to serve people for suhoor.

He explained that restaurant/cafe can stand alone or become hotel business facility which operates with restrictions.
"Business actors should always implement health protocols or 3M and set a safe distance between dining chairs at least 1 meter with maximum visitors 50 percent of capacity," he asserted.
In order to support and respect people who carry out fasting, restaurant/cafe businesses are encouraged to wear curtains thus become less visible.
"In certain activities, such as breaking fast together can be held while following the provisions," he stated.
For bars and tea houses that are stand alone or located in the restaurants should be closed.
"We also not allow night entertainment places to operate," he added.
For information, these restrictions are regulated in Jakarta Governor Decree (Kepgub) No. 434/2021 concerning Amendments to Governor Decree No. 405/2021 on Extension of Micro-scale Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM Mikro).
In that Kepgub, takeaway or delivery service can be provided according to operating hours (24 hours). Locations that are permitted in this new regulations include food stalls, restaurants, cafes, street vendors, or food traders in Lokbin and Loksem.
