Vaccination program for elderly in Cipayung Sub-district, East Jakarta, has touched 70 percent as of Tuesday (4/20). From total target 18,284 elderly residents, as many as 12,801 people have been vaccinated.

Cipayung Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas) Head, Rini Muharni stated, in order to achieve 100 percent target, her side provided vaccination service for elderly in RPTRA Garuda Cilangkap and SMAN 113 Lubang Buaya and seven urban village health centers. Those are health centers in Cipayung, Cilangkap, Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, Setu, Lubang Buaya, and Ceger Urban Villages.

"Vaccination service for elderly is still carried out. From total target 18,284 elderly residents in Cipayung, we have vaccinated 12,801 elderly residents," she explained at RPTRA Garuda Cilangkap.

Cilangkap Urban Village Head, Nasir Sugiar conveyed, vaccination in RPTRA Garuda will be held until April 30 with target per day 200 elderly residents from 6 RWs in Cilangkap. For this vaccination, his side deployed 20 health workers per day.

"At RPTRA Garuda, vaccination is only given for Cilangkap residents. We hope all elderly residents can take vaccination because it is very important for elderly immunity," he asserted.

So far, he continued, elderly enthusiasm is quite high for vaccination at RPTRA Garuda. Moreover those who have difficulties with transport can get shuttle service from local urban villages.

"PKK cadres, Dasawisma and RT/RW administrators are active in providing shuttle service for elderly to the vaccination sites," he mentioned.
