Dozens of SMEs Enliven BAZOKA Ramadan in North Jakarta

The North Jakarta Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control (PPAPP) Sub-agency once again holds the North Jakarta Online Bazaar (BAZOKA). This time it is held during the month of Ramadan, thus it is called BAZOKA Ramadan.

It was opened virtually and attended by North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim; North Jakarta PPAPP Sub-agency Head, Noer Subchan; PKK Movement Team Chairperson, Yenny Nursanti; Sub-district and Urban Village TP PKK chairpersons in North Jakarta, Jakpreneur assistants, as well as 60 coached SMEs from North Jakarta.

On that occasion, the mayor gave his appreciation and support on the event. According to him, SMEs played a major role in supporting the economy in Jakarta thus it was very appropriate to build an online-based economy amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

"I'm very supportive of advancing small and medium enterprises. Make the pandemic period as a momentum to start new habits of entrepreneurship online. Surely it will open up opportunities for a wider market share," he expressed, Wednesday (4/28).

He hoped that coached SMEs could continuously maximize creativity in entrepreneurship. He said, his party would also continue to make maximum efforts to open up market opportunities.

"No matter how good a product is, but it is not properly promoted and packaged, it will certainly be unable to compete," he expressed.

PPAPP Sub-agency Head Noer Subchan added, in Bazoka Ramadan, he was collaborating with the MeBuy marketplace. He said people who want to order products could access the catalog via www.smartriemall.com.

"Products marketed include culinary, fashion, handicrafts, health products, beauty products, hobbies and other services," he stated.

He continued that this year was the second year of online BAZOKA. Last year similar activity was also held via Instagram account belongs to the PPAPP Sub-agency. Hopefully, products offered at BAZOKA Ramadan this time were capable of increasing the income of struggling families during pandemic.

"Hopefully it can be sustainable, improved and the quality of the products being marketed is maintained. Thus our products can be known by the public and their sales turnover can increase," he hoped.
