Some 25 joint personnel of Satpol PP, PPSU and Task Force under the Menteng Sub-district Enviromental Sub-agency, Central Jakarta had to demolish four huts standing on the edge of the West Flood Canal (KBB), Jalan Latuharhary, on Thursday (4/29).

To anticipate similar condition, Satpol PP will be alerted to hold a routine patrol every day

Menteng Sub-district Vice Head, Suprayogi said the demolishment was executed to follow up on complaints from residents about the existence of the illegal hut, as it could trigger the practice of illegal prostitution.

"Those huts are occupied by scavengers. To anticipate similar condition, Satpol PP will be alerted to hold a routine patrol every day," he said.

He added the results of this demolishment were disposed of at the Bantargebang Landfill.
