Pasar Senen Station Filled with Travelers This Saturday

Pasar Senen Train Station in Central Jakarta was filled with travelers on Saturday (5/1). They were seen queuing up and filling the waiting seats for COVID-19 rapid antigen test.

If any of the conditions related to health protocol cannot be fulfilled, passengers cannot continue their journey

After health screening, travelers were asked to wait at the entrance to train departure by implementing strict health protocol.

PT. KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relation Head, Eva Khairunisa said, departure of Long Distance Train (KAJJ) from Daop 1 Jakarta area was monitored conducive by implementing health protocol ahead of homecoming ban policy that will be applied on May 6-17, 2021.

"For travelers who use train on May 5 and May 18-24 should bring negative COVID-19 certificate with validity period 1x24 hours. Passengers can choose one type of COVID-19 tests, either PCR, GeNose, or rapid antigen tests," she explained, Saturday (5/1).

Her side will give further information about train travel during homecoming ban period on May 6-17.

PT. KAI together with related parties are still discussing the details about train operation with KAJJ.

"We will always support government's efforts in handling COVID-19. Ticket sales on May 6-17 haven't been sold or can't be ordered," she mentioned.

She explained, 19 trains from Pasar Senen Station departed with around 9,400 seats available on Saturday (5/1).

"Currently 6,000 of total 9,400 seats have been ordered by passengers. Total seats available at Senen Station is limited up to 70 percent of capacity," she asserted.

PT. KAI Daop 1 Jakarta urged KAJJ train users to meet all requirements related to health protocol, including negative COVID-19 certificate and in healthy condition with normal body temperature.

"If any of the conditions related to health protocol cannot be fulfilled, passengers cannot continue their journey," she closed.
