Thousand Islands Baznas Bazis Distributes Assistance for 180 Quran Teachers and Mosque Caretakers

Thousand Islands Baznas Bazis distributed assistance for 180 Quran teachers and mosque caretakers in 6 urban villages in North and South Thousand Islands Sub-districts.

Assistance was given in two stages in form of non-cash

Thousand Islands Baznas Bazis Regional Coordinator, Ridwan Malik said, each sub-district received assistance for 30 Quran teachers and mosque caretakers.

"Assistance was given in two stages in form of non-cash amounting to Rp 700,000. Besides, there is also assistance in form of groceries shopping voucher of Rp 300,000 at designated shops," he stated, Tuesday (5/11).

Through this program, he expected Quran teachers and mosque caretakers would be helped economically, while for local shops can get profit and turnover of capital.

"We want many parties to feel the benefits and happiness through this program," he mentioned.

Meanwhile Rustam, Quran teacher from Pari Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district admitted happy for receiving assistance from Thousand Islands Baznas Bazis. Moreover it was given during COVID-19 pandemic and before Eid al-Fitr.

"Thank you for your attention to Quran teachers. I hope this assistance can be a blessing and I hope this program can be continued," he stated.
