Entering the rainy season, West Jakarta Sub-dept. of Water Management for Public Works is intensively checking 96 static pumps for flood handling which are spread in eight sub-districts. As the result, two pumps are damage and need immediate repair.
We will repair them as anticipating the rainy season
Head Section of Maintenance for the sub-dept., Amir Pangaribuan, said those two pumps are in Satpas Tomang and Ratu Park. The pumps having panel breakage, so the drainage is not optimal.
"We will repair them as anticipating the rainy season," Amir said, Monday (11/17).
Flood Peak in Jakarta Occurs January 2015According to him, his side also prepares mobile and trailer pump to ease the flood handling.
"The sub-department prepares 23 mobile and trailer pumps. The pumps will support the flood handling at the scene," he added.
