Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency is going to support 1,000 Jakpreneurs get halal certificates this year.

"It will be done several waves and surely this is free of charge," expressed Industry Division Head, Dhani Hendranalana, Tuesday (5/25).
He explained that it was aimed at knowing what to prepare and understanding the terms for halal certification.

According to him, the mechanism and assessment were seen from supply, ingredients testing, processing, sanitation and site inspection.
"This halal certification is an award from the Jakarta administration for Jakpreneurs who have produced products regularly, already have turnover and assets, as well as a workforce," he explained.
Surely, he added, it would make their products have quality assurance in increasing the selling value and trust of the public or consumers.
"We must guarantee safety and comfort to consumers, in this case halal. With a halal certificate, consumers are more confident and safer to consume the product," he said.
