Because of constrained by many problems, the construction project of Ciliwung River-East Flood Canal (KBT) waterway is targeted to complete in February 2015 from initial schedule in March 2014. The main problem faced in this project is land acquisition.

“To get this project finished quick so the citizens could feel its use, we will calculate the trace for land affected by this project. We predict this project would finish in upcoming December,” stated Head of Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC), Teuku Iskandar, Tuesday (11/18).
Meanwhile, Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ Tjahaja Purnama explained that this project is conducted to minimize flooding in the capital city, particularly in Jatinegara area. Thus, Jakarta Provincial Government gives full support.
