Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of June 7

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of June 7.

The number of people tested last week has reached 62,991

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 9,851 specimens. 6,698 of them were to diagnose new cases with 1,197 positive and 5,501 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 3,300 were tested, with 103 positive results and 3,197 negative results.

"The number of people tested last week has reached 62,991, while 380,208 people have undergone the swab tests. As for the number of active cases in Jakarta, date is 10,901 people who are undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or increased to 365 cases," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta's PPID press release, Monday (6/7).

As for the total number of confirmation cases in Jakarta to date was 436,332 cases. Of these cases, 416,994 people were cured with a cure rate reaching 95.6% and 7,457 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.7%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.8%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 8.6%, while Indonesia was 10.8%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

As for the elderly, vaccination dose 1 was done to 593,332 people (65.1%) and vaccination dose 2 included 534,410 people (58.6%), with a vaccination target of 911,631 people. In the public service, vaccination dose 1 was administered to 1,856,406 people (93.9%) and vaccination dose 2 included 1,186,874 people (60.0%), with a vaccination target of 1,976,757 people.

Based on the daily reports on June 6 at 6 PM, there had been a total fine of Rp 2,700,000. So, it was hoped that the public could be more disciplined in implementing health protocols and participating in curbing the COVID-19.
