West Jakarta Gulkarmat Continues to Carry Out Disinfectant Spraying

In order to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission, West Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency continues to carry out disinfectant spraying and COVID-19 socialization to the residents.

Disinfectant spraying is routinely carried out every day in eight sub-districts

West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency's Operation Section Head, Eko Marno mentioned, since the pandemic, his side has always prepared materials related to COVID-19 socialization in addition to materials about fire hazards.

"Yesterday, we socialize residents about COVID-19 and fire hazards at At Taqwa Mosque RT 12/03 Jatipulo Urban Village, Palmerah. Besides, we also carry out disinfectant spraying," he stated, Monday (6/28).

According to him, disinfectant spraying is routinely carried out every day in eight sub-districts in West Jakarta, including major roads, residential areas, and markets.

"We use chlorine for spraying disinfectant. For one-gallon portable sprayer, for example, we use 125 grams chlorine and 20 liters water. For water sprayer unit with capacity 2,500 liters, we use 2 kilograms chlorine. While we use 3.8 kilograms chlorine for capacity 4,000 liters and 8 kilograms chlorine for 10,000 liters," he explained.

Disinfectant spraying is scheduled to start from 8 AM until evening as requested. He hopes these efforts will minimize COVID-19 transmission.
