Sunter Jaya Residents are Enthusiastic to Participate in Covid Vaccination

The Covid-19 vaccination for residents aged 18 years and over in Sunter Jaya Urban Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta was enthusiastically welcomed by many.

So, let's vaccinate. This is very useful for our immune system. Don't be afraid of hoax news, we're ready to share accurate information regarding the vaccination

Sunter Jaya 2 Puskesmas Head, Artika Tambunan expressed that his party was very happy with the enthusiasm. The high number of people taking vaccinations had been anticipated with the addition of health workers from private clinics around Sunter Jaya area who helped accelerate vaccination. To optimize it, he was also coordinating with urban village, Satpol PP, RPTRA, Dasawisma cadres, PKK cadres, RT/RW caretakers, and army/police.

"Today we have served 515 people. We feel that the residents are very enthusiastic, as maybe the age range of the vaccination participants has been expanded," she expressed, Tuesday (6/29).

She went on to say that as many as 250 people were targeted to get vaccine every day. Until now, more than 14,500 in Sunter Jaya area had been vaccinated from the total target of around 55,000 people.

"We still need more health workers. We only have 12 and must work every day, moreover the number of participants continue to increase. Of course this is tiring. For now, starting from a week ago, we have received assistance from health workers from several private clinics in Sunter Jaya," he explained.

He furthered that vaccination center in Sunter Jaya was at Sunter Jaya 2 Puskesmas. While for the dynamic vaccination in RWs would be conducted if there were certain conditions such as RW with orange zone conditions or other special conditions.

"So, let's vaccinate. This is very useful for our immune system. Don't be afraid of hoax news, we're ready to share accurate information regarding the vaccination," he added.

Sunter Jaya Urban Village Secretary, Eka Persilian Yeluma said, seeing this situation, the vaccination was still under tighter health protocols. He also involved RT/RW caretakers to help maintain order and safety during vaccination.

"Alhamdulillah, in Sunter Jaya, public awareness to undergo vaccination is quite high," he said.

In the meantime, Diono (45), one of participants at Sunter Jaya 2 Puskesmas, he was very grateful to receive vaccine. To get it, he registered through JAKI (Jakarta Kini) application.

"Faster, more practical than registering directly on location as our data is already entered into the system at JAKI. We just have to prepare the requirements that must be met, such as an ID card. We can also choose any location according to our domicile or for example, one that is closer to where we work," he stated.

Hopefully, the vaccination, which is currently being intensified by the government, could effectively reduce the number of Covid-19 transmissions.

"It's a good and useful program. Hopefully conditions can return to normal and we are all given health thus the economy recovers quickly," he hoped.
