Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan directly monitored COVID-19 vaccination held for ulema members of Jakarta Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI)and Jakarta Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) at City Hall, Wednesday (6/30).

We will get support from MUI and DMI to hold it at mayor's offices thus it is easy for everyone to access vaccines

"Thank God, this morning, joint vaccination is held together with MUI DKI and DMI DKI, as well as MUI heads throughout Jakarta," he said after monitoring the area, as quoted from PPID Press Release.

"We want ulema, religious leaders, all of them to be well protected. Thus during pandemic, they can always be healthy, continue to guide, protect, and hopefully all of people who have been vaccinated can do religious activities as before because all congregations have been vaccinated," he stated.

Not only in Jakarta City Hall, vaccination for ulema and religious leaders will be also carried out at city, sub-district, and urban village levels. His side expected it to reach ulema at the smallest level, thus congregations can be protected as well.

"Therefore, I hope to ulema and religious leaders. Let's work together through vaccination that will be carried out at city and sub-district levels. So, ulema can be vaccinated until urban village level. I hope all people can be vaccinated thus we can open worship places again," he closed.
