Next Week, Channel Dredging Work on Jalan Pengadegan Timur Completed

South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Head, Mustajab said it was focused on two sides of the channel as wide as 70 centimeters with 300 meters length, which is located in the junction of the Pengadegan Urban Village Puskesmas until taxi pool with 30 - 60 centimeters depth.

"This is targeted to be complete next week," he said, Monday (7/5).

According to him, it was carried out, because of solid mud. It caused overflowing water in the channel when it rains.

His party also tore down the channel's manhole cover made by residents permanently. It was done to facilitate cleaning and dredging the channel.

"Our men make a hole that functions as a drainage control, locally known bak kontrol in a bid to smoothen its cleaning," he said.
