Vice Governor Ariza Appreciates Collaboration of Private Parties in Combating Covid-19 in Jakarta

Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria said, all elements of society, stakeholders or the private sector are encouraged to continuously collaborate with the government in administering vaccinations for Jakartans. It was conveyed in his speech while monitoring vaccinations initiated by one of the media companies (Kompas Group), precisely at Bentara Budaya Building, Jalan Palmerah Selatan, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/6).

"Today I visited and saw firsthand the Covid-19 vaccination process for media workers held by Kompas Group. Hopefully it will be completed 100 percent soon, as they have a tough task every day, having to find and convey information to the public. The activities today are very good and positive things. Thank you to all who helped, there are so many companies, community organizations, and other elements of society that have participated, we need good participation from the whole community," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He disclosed that vaccinations were being pushed forward to a number of priority groups in the capital. Around 8.8 million people targeted to be vaccinated so that Indonesia's capital can reach herd immunity by August.

"Mr. President has launched the national Covid-19 program, Jakarta has a target and Alhamdulillah we have hit 6.1 million. It should be completed by the end of August. InsyaAllah we can do it before the end of this year," he explained.

He also urged children aged 12-17 years to immediately take part in the vaccination.

"Everything has been made easy, register online or go directly to the vaccination site, we have prepared all health centers in Jakarta, so what are you waiting for?," he explained.

He also expressed an appreciation for the vaccination program from the Kompas Group as it was done with good procedures and standards, and under strict health protocols.

"Good Job. Moreover, this vaccine also applies to the people around here," he stated.
