Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of July 6

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of July 6.

The number of people tested last week has reached 160,603

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 32,871  specimens. 23,009 of them were to diagnose new cases with 9,439 positive and 13,570 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 3,966 were tested, with 820 positive results and 3,146 negative results.

She mentioned the trend of active positive cases in children under the age of 18 continued to grow. Of the 9,439 positive cases today, 1,014 cases were children aged 6 - 18 years, 333 cases were children aged 0 - 5 years, 7,267 cases were aged 19 - 59 years, and 825 cases were aged 60 years and over.

"This is very important for parents to take care of their children more strictly and avoid going out of the house with the children. As much as possible do activities at home with children, as positive cases in children are currently still high," she urged, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Tuesday (6/7).

As for the WHO test target is 1,000 people who are tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week. "This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 160,603, while 428,325 people have undergone the swab tests," she explained.

As for the number of active cases in Jakarta, date is 94,584 people who are undergoing self-isolation at home (including data of athlete's homestead) or increased to 3,421 cases. While the total number of confirmation cases in Jakarta to date was 600,937 cases.

Of these cases, 497,492 people were cured with a cure rate of 82.8% and 8,861 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.5%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.6%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 40.6%, while Indonesia was 13.2%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

On the other hand, the Jakarta administration had provided isolation beds and ICU beds in handling COVID-19. Until July 4, of the 140 hospitals that treat COVID-19, 11,214 isolation beds are available, the percentage of occupancy is 92% with a total of 10,333 isolated patients. Meanwhile, 1,377 ICU beds are available, the percentage of occupancy is 94% with a total of 1,295 ICU patients.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 4,909,676 people (55.7%), with the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose as many as 81,682 people. As for the total vaccination dose 2 now reached 1,938,103 people (22%), with the number of people being vaccinated in a 2-day dose as many as 2,246 people.

Then the achievement of vaccination for children aged 12-17 years, for dose 1 had been carried out as much as 2.0%. While for residents aged 18-59 years, for dose 1 had been carried out to 54.3% and vaccination for dose 2 covered 17.7%. As for the elderly, vaccination dose 1 was done to 65.8% and vaccination dose 2 included 58.7%. While the mutual cooperation vaccination, for dose 1 had been given to 94,473 people and dose 2 covered 34,300 people.

Based on the daily reports on July 5 at 6 PM, there had been a total fine of Rp 5,150,000. In addition, there were 18 restaurants, food stalls, and cafes which had been temporarily suspended. Amid PPKM Darurat, residents wanting to enter the Jakarta area were urged to carry out independent COVID-19 check-up through the JakCLM via JAKI app. In this app, they could find out the risk of COVID-19 and got various health recommendations according to the risks they have. This contribution would help the government to prevent the diseases in Jakarta. There were also 57 restaurants, food stalls, and cafes which have been temporarily suspended. In addition, 1 office/workplace, and 13 other places of business were also temporarily suspended.

To get vaccine, residents can go to the vaccination site. However, to speed up vaccination, they must register online via JAKI app or corona.jakarta.go.id/vaksinasi. By registering online, they may choose the schedule and place of vaccination themselves, as well as being able to pre-screen online tests.

Currently, 326 vaccination centers/locations have been available in Jakarta and will continue to be added as needed. To find them, it can be checked through the Google Maps application, by writing "vaksin COVID-19".

The categories of residents 18+ who can be vaccinated in Jakarta are:

• Residents with Jakarta ID cards

• Residents with ID cards from outside Jakarta, but domiciled in Jakarta (bring domicile information obtained from the RT officer, not necessarily from the RT head)

• Workers in Jakarta who have ID cards from outside Jakarta (bring information from the workplace)
