Governor Anies Still Finds Many Companies Violating PPKM Darurat Policy

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan once again monitored the mobility of residents at three points in Jakarta, namely Cikini Train Station (Central Jakarta), Jalan Daan Mogot (West Jakarta), and Jalan Raya Kalimalang (East Jakarta), on Wednesday (7/7).

They (companies) must take a firm stance to protect their employees, not a matter of profit and loss, but a matter of life,

In the inspection at Cikini Train Station, he still found essential and non-essential sector employees working in the office/WFO (Work From Office). They admitted that they were still required to come to the office during emergency public activity restrictions (PPKM Darurat).

"There's still a lot going to work today. This means there are still many companies require their employees to work, moreover those who are not in critical and essential fields," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Therefore, he emphasized that every company should not break applicable regulations, especially in non-essential fields. It aimed to give protection and safety for employees.

"They (companies) must take a firm stance to protect their employees, not a matter of profit and loss, but a matter of life," he asserted.

"So use awareness to take a stand and take management decisions that are cutting the chain of transmission," he continued.

Further, for those caught violating the rules, the Jakarta administration would impose sanctions in accordance with the provisions of the PPKM Darurat.

"So, we record the company, then process them. Company leaders must be responsible for the rules that they made," he stated.
