Danau Sunter Area During PPKM Darurat Temporarily Closed

We call on people to stay at home and reduce mobility

The Danau Sunter area, North Jakarta has been closed temporarily during emergency public activity restrictions (PPKM Darurat) on Thursday (7/8) to curb the transmission of Covid-19.

Sunter Jaya Urban Village Head, Sahroni Zein said it was done to limit the mobility of residents considering that usually many people are active in Danau Sunter area, ranging from fishing to exercising.

"We call on people to stay at home and reduce mobility. When the situation is conducive, we will reopen it again," he expressed.

According to him, it was carried out in conjunction with checkpoints at a number of points since July 5 with guarding by joint personnel, including army/police.

"We replace plastic MCBs with concrete MCBs thus people cannot move them," he explained.

To optimize PPKM Darurat, he added, it was also aimed to control street vendors (PKL) who violated the rules.

"Please obey the rules for mutual safety, we want this pandemic to end quickly," he stressed.
