Jakarta Receives Aid with 7,500 Food Packages

We will partially distribute this aid to residents who are under self-isolation in 15 urban villages

The Jakarta administration had received 7,500 food packages from Matahari Department Store and Hypermart Low Privew and More, on Monday (7/19) afternoon.

The aid from the Lippo Group was directly received by the Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) Head, Premi Lasari, accompanied by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan at the West Gate of the National Monument (Monas) field, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

According to Lasari, the aid, which contained 10 kg of rice, cooking oil, sugar, canned milk, margarine, sardines, instant noodles, soy sauce, sanitizers and markers was a form of collaboration between the administration and the private sector to help those undergoing self-isolation.

"We will partially distribute this aid to residents who are under self-isolation in 15 urban villages," she expressed.

Those 15 urban villages were Johar Baru, Rawasari, Cibubur, Penggilingan, Cijantung, Cengkareng Timur, Kapuk, Srengseng Sawah, Tugu Utara, Karet, Tugu Utara, Sunter Jaya, Sunter Agung, Jagakarsa and Pondok Labu.

"Food aid data for each village is according to the application, some get 50 packages and 100 packages. We make sure the beneficiaries are right on target," she exclaimed.

Aside that, some would also be distributed to cadaver relocation officers at the Rorotan TPU, officers transporting and guiding oxygen, BPBD personnel at the Nagrak Flat and other Covid-19 fighter volunteers.
