South Thousand Islands Free From COVID-19 Red Zone

South Thousand Islands Sub-district, Thousand Islands managed to get out of Red Zone after experiencing surge in cases in mid-July 2021.

I hope residents can continue to obey health protocols and residents in targeted age to vaccinate immediately

South Thousand Islands Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas) Head, Ilmi Tri Indiarto stated, as of August 5, there were 2 residents in Lancang Island, Pari Island Urban Village, who were exposed to COVID-19. In detail, one of them is undergoing self-isolation and the other is being treated in hospital.

"In Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, there are still 7 residents who are undergoing self-isolation. Today, all of them have entered the tenth day," he informed, Friday (8/6).

He hopes residents who are undergoing self-isolation or being treated can recover soon and no more residents are exposed to COVID-19.

"I hope residents can continue to obey health protocols and residents in targeted age to vaccinate immediately," he mentioned.

For vaccination in South Thousand Islands Sub-district, as many as 8,080 people or about 87.08 percent of total target 9,279 residents aged 12 years and over had received their first vaccine.

"There are 3,476 residents or 37.46 percent who have received second dose vaccine. We continue to intensify vaccination in three urban villages. Even, we also open the service until evening to catch up herd immunity target in Thousand Islands," he asserted.

For information, vaccination center that serves residents until 21:00 are located at RPTRA Tidung Ceria, South Thousand Islands Sub-district Health Center in Tidung Island; Pari Island Urban Village Health Center; Pari Island Urban Village Health Center;Pari Island Health Post; and Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Health Center.
