200 Satpol PP Personnel Deployed to Help Monitor Odd-Even Traffic System Implementation

Jakarta Satpol PP deployed 200 personnel to help in monitoring implementation of odd-even system in several checkpoints.

Satpol PP personnel will build synergy with TNI/Police and Jakarta Transportation Agency

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin mentioned, hundreds personnel started to work from 06:00 to 20:00. They were divided into two work shifts. According to him, Satpol PP personnel will build synergy with TNI/Police and Jakarta Transportation Agency to support the control and supervision of public order regarding public mobility restriction policy with odd-even system.

Odd-even Policy System is Still Not Applicable

"Their task is to assist police who have the authority to deal with traffic matters and remind residents to be disciplined in implementing health protocols in public places or roads," he explained, Thursday (8/12).

He informed, those checkpoints were located on Jalan Sudirman, Jalan Thamrin, Jalan Gajah Mada, and Jalan Hayam Wuruk.

"Personnel will urge and remind residents to be disciplined in implementing health protocols and don't ignore it because the pandemic is not over yet. Including socializing residents to carry out vaccination to increase their immunity against COVID-19 transmission," he stated.
