Anies Appreciates Children's High Interest in ReadingSMAN 70 Jakarta Principal, Ratna Budiarti conveyed, announcement of the winner was made virtually on September 13 via Zoom application. SMAN 70 Jakarta won against school representatives from 34 provinces.
"It will be recorded as a history where for the first time a school in Jakarta has won the first place in National Library Competition. In last year's competition, Jakarta representative only won the 1st runner up," she said.
She felt grateful for achievement obtained by SMAN 70 Jakarta at national level.
"Thank God we are able to fulfill the expectation of Governor. We are determined that Jakarta can be a barometer. Thank you to the entire school community and related regional apparatus organizations (OPDs) for providing asessment and supports," she mentioned.
Meanwhile, Ki Hajar Dewantara Library Manager at SMAN 70 Jakarta, Cecep Sulaeman added, this achievement was thanks to collaboration of various parties as well as guidance from Jakarta Library and Archive Agency.
"SMAN 70 Jakarta's Ki Hajar Dewantara Library has complete facilities. It has 5,925 non-fiction books, 855 fiction books, 6,003 e-books and aksara maya that reaches 4,920 titles," he said.
According to him, Ki Hajar Dewantara Library has an area of 550 square meters and is the largest school library in Jakarta.
"The library is also equipped with Wi-Fi with speed 250 Mbps. We have various excellent programs such as Green Literacy, Electronic Subject List (E-DTS), e-Book Drive Thru, and Literacy on the Bus Stop," he explained.
For information, the second place in National Library Competition 2021 for School/Upper Level Madrasa Library category was obtained by SNAB 1 Sedayu's Loka Ghana Library, Yogyakarta. Then the third place was SMAN 1 Bobotsari's Surya Cendekia Library, Central Java.
