Tanah Sereal Fire Victims Received Aid

West Jakarta Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) gave aid to lighten the burden of fire victims at RW 10, Tanah Sereal Urban Village, Tambora Sub-District, Wednesday (11/26). As many as 160 packages consist of sarong, baby porridge, biscuit, undies, and sanitary napkins were distributed.

“The aid we give is not much and not enough. But, we hope it could lighten the burden of fire victims,” uttered Head of West Jakarta HIPMI, Ade Putra Kurniawan, Wednesday (11/26).

Besides distributing aid, Kurniawan continued, his party also cooperated with the youngsters in RW 10 Tanah Sereal to do communal work in cleaning fire debris and trashes. This is conducted to fasten the fire victims’ recovery process.

Short Circuit Triggered 63 Percent of Fire Cases in West Jakarta

“Cleaning must be done. Aside to fasten the recovery process, it is also conducted to prevent diseases,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Chief of RW 10 Tanah Sereal, M Ridwan Abbas, stated that he and the residents are very grateful for the aid. According to him, the fire has caused 72 households or 110 lives lost their homes.

“We are very grateful for the aid given,” he said.
