Some 11 personnel of the Kemayoran Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, Central Jakarta have started dredging the water channel located on Jalan Serdang Baru IX, Serdang Urban Village.
It has been going on since the end of September and is targeted to be complete in a month
Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Supriyadi expressed, it was realized to follow up on the residents' aspirations in the Musrenbang.
The channel itself was dredged manually up to 502 meters length with 70 centimeters width, 1.1 meters height and one meter depth.

He hoped that it could accommodate water in large quantities in the rainy season in a bid to anticipate flooding.
