Traffic on Jalan Otista Raya, especially from Cawang to Kampung Melayu had to be diverted to the Transjakarta route, on Tuesday (11/9). It was done following the evacuation of a fallen tree that hit the Transjakarta bus stop and covered the road.

Bidara Cina Urban Village Head, Dadang Yudi Hartono said, it was done to smoothen traffic flow at the Polonia traffic light or in front of MC Donald Otista. The joint officers were involved to help control traffic at the location. They came from Jatinegara Police Sector and Jatinegara Koramil, Transportation Sub-agency, PPSU, and Bina Marga Sub-agency.

Fallen Tree, Jalan Kalisari Closed for a While

"To speed up evacuation, we conduct a temporary diversion. Surely this is also for the safety and comfort of passing motorists," he expressed.

He added, the evacuation process took a while as the diameter of the fallen tree was quite large and had many branches.

"It will probably be completed tomorrow," he stated.
