Persija’s 86th Anniversary Enlivened by Competition of Junior Players

The celebration of Persija soccer club’s 86th anniversary, which falls on November 28, was enlivened by competition of junior players. The competition named Persija Youth Football Festival is held in Lapangan Banteng on November 29-December 7, 2014, and joined by 34 teams from Jakarta, Bogor, and Bekasi.

The best talents will be recruited to participate in the Persija Muda Football Academy U-15

“This festival is a part of Persija’s anniversary which held at Bung Karno Stadium (GBK). A day before, City Secretary Saefullah had attended and did silaturahmi (gathering) with Persija players,” stated Chairman of Central Jakarta Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI), Kus Heri, Saturday (11/29).

The Persija Youth Football Festival is joined by players of U-10 and U-12 teams, namely UMS and Central Jakarta Jayakarta, East Jakarta Persigawa, North Jakarta Indonesia Muda, South Jakarta Ragunan SS, SSB Bekasi, as well as Garec and Matador from Bogor.

1,700 Policemen Ready to Secure Persija-Persib Match

“The best talents will be recruited to participate in the Persija Muda Football Academy U-15. The matches will be in duration of 2x10 minutes on a field measuring 40 meters x 60 meters,” said Heri.
