375 Elementary Students Targeted to Be Vaccinated at SDN Susukan

Total 375 elementary school students aged 6-11 years were targeted to receive COVID-19 vaccination at SDN Susukan 08 Pagi building, Susukan, Ciracas, East Jakarta, Tuesday (12/14).

Hopefully it can be completed in one day

The initial implementation of COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 6-11 years was attended by Commission E Member, Muhammad Thamrin; Ciracas Sub-district Head, Mamad; Susukan Urban Village Head, Andri Priwitama Maila; and Ciracas Sub-district Health Center Head, Santayana Daulay.

Ciracas Sub-district Head, Mamad stated, kick off vaccination for elementary school students was one of government's efforts to protect children from COVID-19 transmission.

"Hopefully it can be completed in one day. No major problems so far," he added.

Ciracas Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas) Head, Santayana Daulay explained, his side deployed 2 health worker teams, consist of three doctors and three nurses. Vaccination service was provided in a day with target 375 students using Sinovac vaccines.

"The second dose vaccination will be carried out after 28 days. There is no difference with adult vaccination. We only check the time whether there is vaccination at school or not to prevent clash in time," he mentioned.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Aska (9), grade 2 student who had been injected with first dose vaccine, admitted that he was happy to be vaccinated and didn't feel sick.

"It doesn't hurt. It feels like being bitten by an ant. This is vaccine to prevent COVID-19," he expressed.
