28 Children Aged 6-11 Vaccinated at Menteng Urban Village

Menteng Urban Village Office on Jalan Anyar No. 9, Menteng, Central Jakarta became one of locations for Merdeka Vaccination for children aged 6-11 years which took place on this Saturday (1/8).

Menteng Urban Village Head, Dedy Tjahyadi said that it was the first time Merdeka Vaccination was held at Menteng Urban Village office. Total 28 children aged 6-11 years have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in this activity.
"Merdeka Vaccination is carried out through collaboration between Jakarta Government and Metro Jaya Police to achieve vaccination target for children aged 6-11 years," he conveyed.
160 Students from SD Bakti Mulya 400 Get First Vaccine DoseIn this activity, 24 children were injected with first dose vaccine and four others were injected with second dose vaccine. Type of vaccine given is Sinovac. His side also provided an opportunity for adults who hadn't been vaccinated yet, to get vaccinated at Merdeka Vaccine site.
"We prioritize children who haven't been vaccinated at school so they can still be vaccinated. We also serve adults who want to get vaccinated," he explained.
Wawan (49), resident of RT 07/02 Menteng Urban Village admitted that he brought his child to get vaccinated against COVID-19. He was grateful for vaccination service that was held at Menteng Urban Village because it was not far from his house.
"Thank God, all my family members now have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Hopefully this pandemic will end soon," he expressed.
Based on data from local urban village, vaccination rate for children aged 6-11 years in Menteng Urban Village has now reached 70 percent of total target 2,866 children.
