East Jakarta Offers 20 Types of Job Training for Jakartans

The East Jakarta Regional Job Training Center (PPKD) has been opening registration for 20 types of job training for Jakarta residents this year. It has been ongoing since two weeks.

According to Teguh Hendrawan, Head of East Jakarta PPKD, There are two types of training available, namely regular with 14 types of training and Mobile Training Unit (MTU) with six types of trainings. Currently, 100 people have registered via https://linktr.eeppkdjaktim.

"The training will begin in the upcoming February,” he said, Thursday (1/27).

Thus far, the socialization has been intensified to the public through Musrenbang activities in 65 urban villages. Moreover, his party had also collaborated with the ranks of the East Jakarta Education Sub-agency for regions 1 and 2, as well as several high-level and vocational schools.

"Our target is to help participants to get job in companies spread over East Jakarta, as this is our way to solve the unemployment problem in Jakarta," he continued.

Those 20 types of training offered were computer engineering, welding, refrigeration, automotive, motorcycle, electro automation, English. Then Japanese, computer operators, graphic design, housekeeping (hospitality), fashion, make-up, and catering.

To join the training, every participant must be at least 17 years old and graduate from high school, 3x4 photo in red background (four sheets) and vaccine certificate. They would be divided into four batches and each batch will be attended by 25 to 50 people per major.

"This is free of charge. During the training, every participant will get certification, uniforms, snacks, lunch and practical materials," he expressed.
