Cilangkap Urban Village Sends Food Aid to Residents Exposed to COVID-19

Food aid from the Jakarta Social Agency (Dinsos) for residents exposed to COVID-19 began to be distributed in Cilangkap Urban Village, Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Friday (2/11).

Aid is only given to families who have been exposed to COVID-19

Cilangkap Urban Village Head, Nasir Sugiar mentioned, there were 58 families who were exposed to COVID-19, consisting of 14 families in RW 01, 11 families in RW 02, 17 families in RW 03, 2 families in RW 04, 6 families in RW 05, and 8 families in RW 08.

"Aid is only given to families who have been exposed to COVID-19," he asserted.

His side accelerated the distribution by sending the aid directly to RW, RT, and then sent it to houses of residents who were undergoing self-isolation.

"For those who are hospitalized, assistance is given to their families who are at home," he added.

In order to get the aid, residents must attach a copy of their ID card (KTP) or family card (KK) and letter from hospital stating they are positive for COVID-19.    

LMK RW 02 Cilangkap Urban Village Member, Kompol (Purn) Suharno said, RT/RW administrators would again apply for food assistance when health conducted tracing. Besides, there were also residents who confirmed positive whose PCR results just came out.

He hoped that request for additional food aid could be responded immediately thus it can be evenly distributed to all residents exposed to COVID-19.

"It is very useful for residents who are undergoing self-isolation at home," he stated.

Meanwhile, Agus (55), a resident of RT 05/02 who is currently self-isolating at home stated that he was greatly helped by the aid. Because he and his family could not leave the house during self-isolation to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

"It is very helpful," he expressed.
