Jalan Sarana Jaya Crowded by Illegal Parking

Jakarta Provincial Government continues to control illegal parking in the capital. Moreover, some of illegal parking are still exist in some area as on Jalan Sarana Jaya, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

The area is prohibited for parking. Why the related officer did not tow those cars

Based on beritajakarta.com observation, although there is 'no parking' sign, as many as 30 cars were parked illegally on the roadside which connects Jalan Abdul Muis to Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat everyday. It causes traffic jam in the morning and afternoon.

Suliman (33), one of road users admitted, he difficult to pass the road because the dozens vehicle parked on the roadside.

"The area is prohibited for parking. Why the related officer did not tow those cars," he complained, Saturday (12/6).

Harlem Simanjuntak, Section of Management and Monitoring Head of Central Jakarta Transport  Sub Department said, all parked vehicle are the operational vehicle of Defense Ministry. His side also receives many complains about the condition.

"There should be a coordination between agency to avoid unwanted things. We have a discussion two weeks ago," he explained.

Previously, those cars were parked on Jalan Tanah Abang Timur. Due to green lane park construction, the cars must be moved.
