Seribu Islands Gears Up for HPSN 2022 Events

The Seribu Islands Regency administration keeps finalizing an action plan to clean up Jakarta's marine coastal waste in a bid to commemorate the National Waste Care Day (HPSN), which falls on February 21.

It will begin on February 17 until the peak event on February 21

Seribu Islands Vice Regent, Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan said the cleanup action would also be carried out in several places spread across South and North Seribu Islands sub-districts.

"It will begin on February 17 until the peak event on February 21 in Jakarta," he expressed, Tuesday (2/15).

HPSN, Anies Emphasizes Importance of Waste Management in RW Scope

Seribu Islands Environment (LH) Sub-agency Head, Sujanto Budiroso added, in Seribu Islands, several events would be held online from Bidadari Island.

As for the six urban villages would follow it online from their respective areas to hear reports from the LH Agency Head, online talk shows, and zero-waste product parade.

"There will also be a video showing the flow of waste management in Seribu Islands and a symbolic handover of the winner of the competition. Hope everything can run smoothly without problems," he stated.
